I just wrote this poem sitting in Buc-ee’s parking lot. I hope Y’all enjoy it.

I Cannot Die!

I cannot die, the devil tries,
With pain and sin, the devil pries,
With my defiance, the devil cries,
This man’s will, it never dies.

I pity the sand that blasts me,
For it’s never witnessed a man like me,
Until all that’s left, my will is permanent,
In Jesus’ name, my will, it’s firmament,
I cannot die, this is his testament,
Folded in collapse resides pure sentiment,
Brandished a weapon, my will, my commitment.
For God so loved the world,
As his own commandment.

I Cannot Die! And this is why!
